The Guardian newspaper has recently announced its top 50 Green heroes, and Graham is one of them!

Graham set up the GBN 15 years ago, Since then the GBN has won more than 20 awards (including a record four prestigious national Biffawards) celebrating its success in providing new and innovative solutions to environmental problems.

One of Graham's most successful projects through the network has been ABLE. ABLE has become a blueprint for many others around the country and a new site is currently being developed in Heckmondwike, combining a visitor attraction with an outdoor learning centre.

Cllr Mehboob Khan, Leader of Kirklees Council, said: "Graham's commitment to environmental issues and his creative approach to identifying practical projects which are sustainable, innovative and inclusive are inspiring. His passion and vision are matched by his ability to keep sight of the need to deliver sustainable projects which transform communities. The council's reputation as a leader on environmental issues is down to people like Graham who are truly green pioneers." For more information visit The Guardian website.
