Tree Planting at ABLE
ABLE is creating a mixed woodland and orchard as part of the site regeneration. The woodland will be used as a source of woodfuel for the biomass boiler in the main compound. ABLE plants without sprays or pesticides, encouraging wildlife to inhabit the area and increase the biodiversity onsite.
We are currently in the middle of a planting project, with approximately 2000 trees planted already and the final planting to be completed this winter. Species to be planted this year include Rowan, Hazel, Black thorn, Cherry, Alder, Beech and Sycamore.
